Comparison of fertility monitors

A comparison of fertility monitors frequently used for contraception and / or planning a pregnancy.

Fertility monitors measure, record wake-up temperature (BBT) and or an other typical fertility signs like cervical mucus (symtothermal montiors) or hormone levels in the morning urine (hormone monitors)

Whilst most monitors are suitable to help planning a pregnancy, only few proofed to be reliable enough to prevent a pregnancy.

Advantage:
Contraception monitors reduce the daily routine of recording and evaluating the cycle. Sound guidance and some background knowledge can help to minimise typical user errors. Many couple use condoms for contraception on fertile days or consciously choose to wait until the non-fertile days after ovulation before engaging in intercourse.
